It shows him and future TOOL guitarist Adam Jones as teenagers when they were playing in their first band together. It’s a wonderful pic of their friendship that presages the iconic styles of guitar playing that each would develop and bring to prominence in the 1990’s. Oh my god.  SAdam (har har, you see what I did there?) looks so awesome. Look at that sweet polo shirt.
